Oh for pity's sake -- I've done it again! Get rid of one of these and put me out of my misery, okay?

We liked this too. And I entirely agree about Helena Bonham Carter. She could have been half as good and it would still have been too much.

That scene with Harry and Snape at the end was the biggest disappointment to me! In the book, Snape is anything but subdued, especially when Harry calls him coward.

Also, that fish/flower story was about Harry's Mother

I agree with you about Snape/Alan Rickman appearing strangely subdued. While in the the books, when he is called a coward, he is the furthest thing from subdued.

The IMDB website said they had taped all of the memories, but decided to cut them...for some reason I cannot recall because whatever it was I'm sure it was stupid. That was my favorite part of the book.

Plus, the book is centered around Harry chasing after and accusing Malfoy; it doesn't come across as strongly as it should in the movie.

Ron with the love potion, though, was one of the funniest scenes, ever.

I also read that they chose to not include the fight scene (though it was incredibly important to the story) because there will be so much fighting in the next two movies. They included that Burrow scene to show how serious the attacks were. I think the fight scene, with all of the Order and whatnot, would have showed it more.

I'm so miffed that Neville didn't have one line! Ugh.

And, I agree with T. What's up with the wand being there? The only thing I can think of is maybe they'll open the next film up with Dumbledore's funeral (which also should have been included) and then we'll see the wand where it should be.

Excuse my long rant, haha.

I agree with ALL of your assessments. Also, why bother changing the Room of Requirement scene to add Jenny? I think they over-played the teen romance and under-played Voldemort's history. (I wanted to hear parseltongue too!) This morning I remembered the Fenrir/Bill stuff and was disappointed that it was left out. Also, why was Dumbledore's wand on the desk when Harry walks in at the end? Uh...how are they going to make up for this important detail in the last movie?
