Vacation Bible School
Little No Limit’s very own hand-drawn and painted T-shirt:
I went to vacation Bible school every year for I don’t even know how many years, and I remember two things: one, Elmer’s glue was involved; two, during music time, the woman who played the guitar used a penny for a pick.
Little No Limit’s vacation Bible school doesn’t seem to be too different. The same old handmade T-shirt, as well as these nifty other crafts: a raccoon paper bag puppet, a the Chinese-to-go-box-turned-camp-cabin-handmade-piggy-bank, a clay-and-bead molding of a cross, a woven paper craft, and foam sticker creations. Perhaps the only thing different between hers and mine is that at the end of her week of vacation Bible school, they had a big ‘ol water slide to cap off the week of, um, Biblical study.

when i run VBS i tell my staff that the most important thing is that the kids feel loved and safe… all that “biblical study” is secondary. Make church a fun place to come and they’ll learn more about Jesus than any bible study can teach them.
Displaying the same artistic talent that her mother did.
My lord she is really growing up!
i think the old traditional is better. there is a church here doing “Camp Rock” for VBS. ???????
her shirt looks great btw
How fun! I love the t-shirt. There’s nothing better than getting to wear something you made. I remember doing a similar project when I worked at a summer camp years ago. Except that there were 18 3 and 4 year olds, the instructors hadn’t chosen washable finger paints, and I was the one assigned to wash hands. But, you know, fun in the end.
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV the shirt! What a fun summer project and it turned out fabulously!

VBS! My kids love VBS. Of course, it’s held as soon as school is finished here - what the heck, VBS church? But they do a great job, and there are lots of terrifyingly energetic women getting the kids to make their t-shirts and make their crafts.
Your munchkin is a cutie.
