Eczema is really so itchy and i cant help but scratch it. Corticosteroid is a heaven sent because it can relieve the itchiness and redness. *

Eczema is a very itchy disease. what i do is use sulfur soap when cleaning the affected area of the skin and take some anti-histamine if the itchiness is severe.

Eczema can be managed by using corticosteroids to reduce inflammation and an antihistamine to reduce itching. it is also wise to avoid dairy products and nuts if you have food allergy.

This is all great advice! Dry skin and itching are really hard to deal with. I have tried a few of these and am a big fan of the oatmeal bath! When I was little, my mom would give me oatmeal baths and I loved them. It really helps with itching and something about it is just comforting and healing. I am definitely going to try more of these out!

I tell you what, I had this when I was a child. My grandma didn't allow me to eat eggs, salty foods, shrimp, squid and the rest of the mussell family because it makes my skin more itchy. I was allowed to eat fish only from the sea food family.
Baking soda, oatmeal and corn starch baths are still great for itches. outgrew it but onec on awhile Is till get few of them but I learn how to control it right when I feel the itch or sees it.
The boy will get better.......

Thank you so much for this! It's been a real learning cure for us in dealing with the Tongginator's eczema. Neither my husband nor I have sensitive skin.

I have a question though. Everyone I've ever talked to about it says that it's typical for the Tongginator to have little bumps (no redness) on her upper arms. No matter what I do, it doesn't seem to clear up... nor does it seem to bother her much. I have noticed it slowly disappearing as she ages, but they are still there. What do you think about that? Is it eczema? Should I keep trying to get rid of it or is that fairly typical?

I completely agree with you about the probiotics. I think everyone should take them regardless of whether or not they have eczema. Probiotics have helped me with my acne, which I believe was caused by an overgrowth of candida.
