I love the period costumes and the cast. The recent movie with ms Knightly is really good too. Hard to say which one is more accurate to the period. Happy TT! :)

So much so that I haven’t bothered with the subsequent version — it would only be an anti climax.

Do you mean the Johnny Depp version of Sweeney Todd? We rented that without realizing it was a musical. It came as a nasty shock. We gave up after about ten minutes.
