Love the Elvis recipe. I’m totally sure he made that too. My college roomates and I used to send tacky postcards to each other whenever we traveled. I’ve got some great ones from Idaho that I’ve still got somewere . . .

Why, why, why does everyone mock the wonderful day Tuesday? There’s Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) and now Tacky Tuesday.

I find Tuesday to be a perfectly respectable day, and you know her children are full of grace.

Hi Riley, I enjoyed your Tacky Postcards and really loved Veronica’s buffalo chip card. (The pioneer women didn’t even have rubber gloves to pick up the buffalo poo—ewh!) I have a book back in Ohio called “Truly Tasteless Jokes” and I used to tell some of them in an old folks chat room. It is on a par with your cards. Thanks for stopping by my oven and commenting, but I am confused. I loved the video clip, but hate the ACLU —even if my Dad was a lawyer.

Ages ago, inr esponse to another post, I thought about sending you a link to a picture of my favorite postcard. I had no idea how appropriate it would be.

This is a photo from the days of western expansion into Kansas. Because there were so few trees on the great plains, the women gathered dried bison manure to use as firewood. When I lived in Kansas, it is the only postcard I bought and kept for myself.

Well, since Buck bit the big one last year, I guess he doesn’t care anymore…but that’s TOTALLY what the Crystal Palace was like! And after a few drinks, who cares anyway! =)

I will admit to you that I frequented the Crystal Palace on more than one occasion…having lived in Bako (aka Bakersfield) for most of my adult life…until now.
